The new Crosstrek Hybrid combines the efficiency of a plug-in hybrid with the long-range capability of the legendary BOXER® engine. The intelligent design of the powertrain makes it possible to recharge the electric battery while driving with the gas engine to provide more efficiency even when you can't stop at a charging station.
The Crosstrek Hybrid includes highly sophisticated performance technology to optimize efficiency. Subaru StarDrive Technology lets you drive how you want, and the system will automatically optimize power, torque, and fuel efficiency. With up to 90 MPGe, you can keep your fuel costs low and enjoy up to 480 miles of total driving range.
When it comes to charging the new Crosstrek Hybrid, you will find it's easy to replenish the battery on the go. The Battery Charge Mode directs the gam engine to charge the battery at all times, including when the vehicle is stopped. With this mode engaged, you can recharge a third of your battery capacity in 30 minutes. You can also recharge the Crosstrek Hybrid by plugging it into a standard 120V household outlet for a recharge time of approximately five hours or a 240V outlet to charge in about two hours.
